Slimbridge 20mph updates

Good morning,

Slimbridge Parish Council have now been informed that a decision was made to proceed with the TRO as advertised. Please see the link to Gloucestershire County Council website with the information. Various Speed Limits (20, 30 & 50 MPH) – Slimbridge, Stroud | Highways

The following information has been given by GCC on the implementation of this scheme
“Now that the decision has been made, GCC are working with our designers and delivery colleagues to understand the next steps and establish realistic delivery timescales. GCC don’t want to provide an indicative programme until greater certainty around what can be achieved has been given
In the interests of managing expectations, delivery within this financial year is looking increasingly challenging. As we move further into the winter period, there are a number of factors that can affect programming and delivery and therefore GCC don’t want to create false expectations at this stage. Once a clearer understanding of the programme and what can realistically be achieved can be determined, GCC will come back to the Parish Council to confirm.”

The Parish Council will continue to liaise with GCC to keep the public updated on the implementation of the 20mph scheme.
