Good morning
Thank you to those who were able to attend the Gloucestershire highways open event on the proposed 20mph scheme in the Village. We hope to hear on the next phases after the 21st November, and will continue to keep you all updated.
Upcoming Road closures
Please be advised of the following closure: Tyndale Road, Slimbridge
This road will be closed (as per the attached plan) from 16/12/2025 to 18/12/2025 to allow for sluice valve and chamber rebuilding work by Severn Trent Water.
Emergency and pedestrian access will be maintained.

Warm Homes Local Grant Scheme
📢 Fully-funded energy-saving improvements for homes in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire 🏡 Funded by the government’s Warm Homes Local Grant.
To benefit from a home upgrade grant, you must: live in Gloucestershire or South Gloucestershire, have an inefficient home (EPC rating of D, E, F, G) and total household income under £36,000 per year.
‘I’m very grateful to have received the grant and I hope others will take advantage’, this local resident’s home was fitted with solar panels and an air source heat pump.
This scheme will provide:
- Expert survey, report and recommendations for your home
- Fully funded energy-saving upgrades
- Improvements such as insulation, heating, renewables
